Kathleen (Kay) Kelly |
Dec 31, 2007 |
On December 31st, 2007 our Society lost a
precious soul ~ Kathleen (Kay) Kelly (nee Joyce) was called home to the
Father. Kay had been
in declining health for some years but for
those UIS members who "knew her when" it was a sad ending to the year.
Kay was a long- time true friend and dedicated member of the United
Irish Societies of Montreal for many years. Many will remember her
presence and her behind-the-scenes assistance to her late husband (Ed
"Bunny" Kelly) who held the position of Director of Organization for
many, many years. Kay was loved by all the old members in those early
days we all shared love and friendship together in the Society. Fun
times and happy memories of Kay with her beautiful Irish smile, big blue
eyes and the face of a Colleen right from the Emerald Isle. To know Kay
was a gift from God to all who came across her path in life. "May she
be held safely in the palm of God's hand"!
